I have also occasionally gotten accounts-daemon-related crashes right after login, for several months now, on two machines that both run Xubuntu 12.04, and which I've kept up-to-date by always upgrading packages when prompted by the system.
Today, I started to look more closely into this, and googling for the Title of the crash brought me here (though in my case, the title is "accounts-daemon crashed with sigsegv in dbus_connection_unref()", not "..._send()". The "internal error" dialog gives this information (I'm not reporting all fields, because you can't copy-paste from error dialog, which, by the way, is a usability problem -- I've marked the contents of those fields as "..."): ExecutablePath /usr/lib/accountsservice/accounts-daemon Package accountsservice 0.6.15-2ubuntu9.6 ProblemType Crash Title accounts-daemon crashed with sigsegv in dbus_connection_unref() ApportVersion 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.4 Architecture amd64 CoreDump (binary data) Date Sat Sep 7 12:28:11 2013 Dependencies ... Now this happens after every login. I think, that's all what I can write about this issue, because everything seems to run okay - no apps crash, no freezing etc. So more info: * ProblemType: Crash * Architecture: i386 * DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 (Xubuntu 12.04 variant) * Uname: Linux 3.2.0-51-generic-pae i686 * ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu17.4 * NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia * Package: accountsservice 0.6.15-2ubuntu9.6 * Segfault happened at: 0xb76bb7c3: mov 0x10(%eax),%eax ,-----[ lsb_release -a ] | No LSB modules are available. | Distributor ID: Ubuntu | Description: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS | Release: 12.04 | Codename: precise `----- Also '/var/log/apport.log' file contain some informations about this issue.
