Public bug reported: The keyboard shortcuts to change workspaces have been ctrl-alt-arrow for a long time now. As of 13.10, the shortcuts for up/down have been changed to Super-pgup/pgdn. This change makes it exceptionally cumbersome to quickly switch between different workspaces to the extent that it is essentially broken and one is limited to either vertical or horizontal workspaces.
Whereas one could previously cycle through all 4 workspaces in the default 2x2 grid, this is now practically impossible without a level of finger dexterity I doubt anyone short of a concert pianist possesses. I realize that one could argue that this is not a bug, but rather an "opinion". That would be naive, however, as using all four workspaces with just keyboard shortcuts is not effectively broken. The fix is easy. Either revert to ctr-alt-arrow or switch to super-arrow (in all four directions). The currently 13.10 mix-and-match approach, however, is a usability nightmare.
