Title: Search > find from app menu can take inordinate time to become active on large files Status in “indicator-appmenu” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Test case: open a text file of some size in gedit (over 15kB or so, larger the better to see In unity panel click on Search The drop down menu is typically inactive & won't be for some time While inactive go > ctrl+f opening search, search something, dismiss the search Go back to the panel Search menu, again typically only some options now active, find will usually remain inactive, until it does come active a new search isn't possible thru the panel (app) menu Note: if trying multiple times use a new file, after a bit the panel menu will work on a previously opened file.
