Title:
Messages Indicator menu closes when using spacebar to trigger items

Status in “indicator-power” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
    affects ubuntu/indicator-messages

With the application indicator, it is possible to use the spacebar to trigger
multiple items without having to reopen the menu. This isn't possible with the
messaging menu because the menu closes after a spacebar action.

  Steps to reproduce:
   1. Open the messaging menu by clicking on it
   2. Move mouse over an enabled menu item
   3. Hit spacebar

What happens: menu item is triggered, and messaging menu closes

What *should* happen: menu item is triggered, and messaging menu stays
  open
