Hi Arnaud,

Thanks for entering this bug. To help us better diagnose the issue,
could you please do an "apport-collect 1267478".

Also, did this just start occurring a few days ago with the recent
update to Unity?

Thanks again!

Title:
uncomfortable sensitivity area of the launcher

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Hi,

The sensitivity area of the launcher (that makes it automatically scroll up
or down when one has more than a dozen icons in it) used to be quite large and
comfortable. However, after an update it has been narrowed down to two tiny
spots, none of which even extend to the upper or lower edges of the screen.
For instance, to scroll down, one should hover the 1cm wide area over the
unremovable rubbish bin icon.

This demands precision and patience, for no gain with respect to the
previous version: before this update, it felt like the lower (hidden)
part of the launcher unfolded by taking into account the ratio (height
of the screen over the mouse)/(height under the mouse), which was
quite convenient. Also the rubbish icon was not glued to the lower
left corner, and I think that the two problems are related.

I'm using ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS, and my version of unity is
  5.20.0-0ubuntu3.
