When I saw this bug, I'm pretty sure I was running 12.10. I haven't seen
appear since though. I imagine it had to do with an upgrade bug, since
I've never seen it on a fresh install of any version.

  "where the clock should be I have the word time, re-installed 
indicator-datetime (suggested on a help website), changed location in time & 
date settings from localtime to London (noticed no buttons there ie OK) still 
no clock. "
