It connects to canonical servers on every boot. There is currently no way to remove the geoclue-ubuntu-geoip package without also removing indicator-datetime. Please reduce the dependency on the geoclue-ubuntu-geoip package to a recommends so users that do not need timezone adjustment or privacy-aware people can un-install it.
