changing clock display options has no effect

Status in “indicator-datetime” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: indicator-datetime

To reproduce: click on the clock, select "Time and Date Settings",
  then the "Clock" tab.

Under "In the clock, show:" change the state of checkboxes "Weekday"
"Date and Month" "12-hour time" "Seconds"

Observe the clock display not changing. Logging out and back in again
