The following message is printed to the console instead: appmenu-qt: handleReparent 128 The given QWindow has no QMenuBar assigned Apparently this is because QtQuick.Controls menus are built upon QQuickMenuBar and QGuiApplicationPrivate::platformTheme()->createPlatformMenuBar(); instead of QMenuBar.
