0) install compizconfig-settings-manager 1) close all apps (you'll see later why) 2) run "ccsm". 3) enable static app switcher in the "window management" section, disabled by default. it will report conflicts of key bindings, enable anyway. note: you want "static application switcher", not the regular "application switcher". yes, there are two, the regular one works but icons look screwy, don't use it. "static application switcher" is the shit. 3a) WARNING: this will cause session to re-initialize, and once i had it get completely screwed up and had to re-login. but this is why you closed all apps in step (1), haven't you? so you'll be fine. press ctrl-alt-f2, log in from the text console, "sudo killall Xorg" and re-login. or just reboot. 4) you'll note that ubuntu unity switcher is still active, we're not done yet. run ccsm again, go to desktop -> ubuntu unity plugin -> switcher tab and disable all the shortcuts (click the pencil icon, untick enabled). 5) still in ccsm, go back to window management -> static app switcher, which should be enabled, click on it and set shortcuts for "Next window (all windows)" and "Previous window (all windows)". you want "all windows", not just next/previous, which are also there and work like ubuntu switcher. set then to alt-tab and shift-alt-tab or whatever you prefer. presto! easy-peasy. but really, this should be an option of the ubuntu switcher. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to unity in Ubuntu.
