Open the Draw or Impress document containing the object that you want to copy. Hold down Ctrl and click and hold the object for a moment. Drag to the document where you want to insert the object. Unfortunately this is not possible on the unity desktop., because the unity side panel is not reacting on the mouse to switch to Writer. Sure, there are other ways to copy, but anyway there is a broken functionality. May be it makes sense to have this in focus for the next development round for saucy.
