Public bug reported: On up to date Wily running on a laptop, when a second monitor is hot plugged in, the image on the laptop monitor is cropped so only lower two thirds are visible and the second monitor shows a black screen with occasional flashes.
If the machine is booted with both monitors connected the displays work as expected. Same setup works ok on Vivid. This report generated with the system in the error condition.
