I'm currently run a script to capture frequently the output from 'upower --dump'.
My phone is placed most of the time on my desk. No changes, no usage. My suspicion is, that only the voltage of the battery is used for the calculation of the remaining power. The values 'energy', 'energy-full' and 'energy-rate' are missing: # upower --dump Device: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/line_power_ac native-path: ac power supply: yes updated: Di 19 Jan 2016 13:46:11 CET (183195 seconds ago) has history: no has statistics: no line-power warning-level: none online: no icon-name: 'ac-adapter-symbolic' Device: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/battery_battery native-path: battery power supply: yes updated: Do 21 Jan 2016 16:27:12 CET (734 seconds ago) has history: yes has statistics: yes battery present: yes rechargeable: yes state: discharging warning-level: none energy: 0 Wh energy-empty: 0 Wh energy-full: 0 Wh energy-full-design: 0 Wh energy-rate: 0 W voltage: 3,752 V percentage: 45% temperature: 19 degrees C capacity: 100% technology: lithium-ion icon-name: 'battery-good-symbolic' Device: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/line_power_usb native-path: usb power supply: yes updated: Di 19 Jan 2016 13:46:11 CET (183195 seconds ago) has history: no has statistics: no line-power warning-level: none online: no icon-name: 'ac-adapter-symbolic' Device: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/line_power_wireless native-path: wireless power supply: yes updated: Di 19 Jan 2016 13:46:11 CET (183195 seconds ago) has history: no has statistics: no line-power warning-level: none online: no icon-name: 'ac-adapter-symbolic' Device: /org/freedesktop/UPower/devices/DisplayDevice power supply: yes updated: Do 21 Jan 2016 16:26:32 CET (774 seconds ago) has history: no has statistics: no battery present: yes state: discharging warning-level: none energy: 0 Wh energy-full: 0 Wh energy-rate: 0 W percentage: 45% icon-name: 'battery-good-symbolic' Daemon: daemon-version: 0.99.2 on-battery: yes lid-is-closed: no lid-is-present: no critical-action: HybridSleep More information, if the phone switches off automatically. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of DX Packages, which is subscribed to indicator-power in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1532731 Title: Battery indicator still wrong on BQ Aquaris 4.5 Status in indicator-power package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: The Battery indicator still works wrong on BQ Aquaris 4.5 with OTA 8.5.
