Thanks for reporting this, but it is caused by the fact that you have an
older version of the pidgin-libnotify plugin. The newer versions do not
have this problem. This is a fallback mode that you're seeing for
applications that have not been updated.

hi,
just for curiosity I installed notify-osd and found that it has problems with
pidgin. Every message which would create a popup, creates a little window. I

I hope you fix that, because that made me remove notify-osd.
