Thanks for the bug report. I'm not sure gnome-power-manager knows about this machine, ie that the brightness changes are monitored at the software level. What happened before, ie, if you run the old notification system, do you see the brightness marquee at the center?
To test: killall notify-osd /usr/lib/notification-daemon/notification-daemon Then, change brightness with the hardware keys as usual. -- notify-osd does not display when brightness is changed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/354145 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Notify OSD Developers, which is subscribed to Notify OSD. Status in Notify OSD: New Bug description: Tested with daily UNR build from today, and notify-osd 0.9.8-0ubuntu1 On my Eee900 the notification bubble for screen brightness change with the keyboard hotkeys does not appear. The brightness does get changed, but no notification bubble. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dx-team Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dx-team More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
