Ted, you've marked this bug as fixed on 2009-04-08, but I can't see any
explicit comment about it in the latest indicator-applet version
0.1.5-0ubuntu1 released on 2009-04-03 in Jaunty:
indicator-applet (0.1.5-0ubuntu1) jaunty; urgency=low
* debian/control: Switching libindicate0 to libindicate1 to express
the fact that the binary compatibility is broken.
* debian/libindicate0.install changed to debian/libindicate1.install
* New upstream version:
* Adds new API for detecting interests of various listeners. Implemented
on both client and server side. (LP: #353112)
* Makes it so that all objects down to the menu now use the gtkstyle
naming from FUSA to ensure that they all pick up the theme hacks that
are set for FUSA. (LP: #334490)
* Explicitly sets the about window's window icon. (LP: #356437)

Does that version solves the issue? Is that version the latest one?
Please, tell me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance.

Status in Indicator Applet: Fix Released
Bug description:
Whenever pidgin or evolution is opened the notification icon opens as well,
however, at some point my notification icon disappears. I do not receive any
error message. I have pidgin running nearly the entire time my computer is on,
evolution I have only used a few times to try it out. Not sure what info will
help track this down so please direct me.
