Bill,
Just open one of the files and do a 'Save As' to the correct place. If the
other one needs to be moved also, then follow the same procedure. If doing
this will replace one that needs to be preserved with the same name then you
may want to either 'Save As' to a different folder or 'Save As' to a
different name in the same folder. Make any sense? Good luck.

Subject: [Dx4win] Two KV3R.DXL Files Help!

Hello All,
I must have made a copy of kv3r.dxl when I did a contest
import into DX4WIN. It is located in C:\Temp2. Yesterday I was looking
files in "My Computer" and saw the kv3r.dxl in temp2. I clicked on it and
the program loaded. When I exited the program and restarted it I thought it
would use the kv3r.dxl file that is located in dx4w503\save directory. I
entered 136 buro cards and printed the labels. Later I found out I was
using the wrong kv3r.dxl file ( the one in Temp2). This one is the most up
to date log file in QSO's and QSL's. Can I just rename the one in
dx4w503\save (the bad log file) and move it to Temp2 and then move the good
one from Temp 2 to dx4w503\save? I would also have to do the same for both
kv3r.~xl files. Am I on the right track?
I also have a Temp.dxl and a Temp.~xl file in dx4w503\save that is a copy
of a contest import I did. Guess I can just delete them, right? The import
worked just fine so I guess I no longer need the back up of the contest log.

It's funny how the program will open which ever log file was the last one
used every time you start the program. If I go to My computer and click on
the kv3r.dxl in the Temp2 directory it will open the program. If I close
the program and open it again it will use the kv3r.dxl file in Temp2 again.
If I click on the kv3r.dxl file in dx4w503\save, it will open that log
file. Close the program and open it again, it will use the kv3r.dxl file in
dx4w503\save again.

Hope I made this understandable, I get confused when I read it!

Thanks for your help.

73, Bill KV3R

P.S. Am I the only one who has not worked VK9ML yet?
