I agree that DX4WIN is very solid, and Wendell has probably made an excellent choice with Windows 2000 Pro for OS stability. Unfortunately, not all software will run properly under 2000, particularly DOS programs like TRLog. Between RFI, power dips and OS issues with Win98SE, there are lots of good reasons for a serious backup routine.
