Hi Jim,
To see if telnet is working from your PC got to a command prompt. At the
command prompt type "telnet na2na.net" (with out the quotes). This will let
you know if telnet is working. This is my node here at the house.
If that is working, create an entry in DX4Win for my node and then try to
connect again. If that does work, you are all set..... If not then we have a
base line...

let me know if that helps.

Will NA2NA

Subject: [Dx4win] telnet problem?

I run DX4WIN 5.03 on a computer with operating system Windows Me. I have
encountered a problem getting DX spots via telnet. I can set TCP/IP in the
preferences and then select an address in the Internet Connections menu, but
nothing happens. I do not get connected. I have talked with others using
DX4WIN and confirmed that all my settings in DX4WIN are correct. The
problem must be with compatability of my version of DX4WIN with the WIndows
Me operating system. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, how
is it fixed?
Please resond directly to me, as I am not a subscriber to the list.
Thanks,
Jim, K9RJ
