Remember that the value is in DAYS.  I.e. 10,000 is about 27.4 years, so any
QSOs older than that time period will be considered "unworked" or "unmailed". 
It does not affect confirmed QSOs.

For all intents and purposes, 50000 and 0 should have the same (effective)
result, since 50,000 days is 136.9 years.

I still don't understand why "0" did not work for you.
