Yep Joe this is correct you can put a small relay on the output of pin 14
Or preferred with optocoupler switching a relay when second radio is
selected

Subject: [Dx4win] LPT CW Interface Question

I have been successfully keying my rigs via the DX4WIN and the LPT ports
for years. Currently, I am using one LPT port for two rigs. Each rig
has its own interface and keying line and I switch between the two rigs
(interfaces) with a manual switch. The help file says that CW keying is
via pin 1 of the LPT port. It also says that when an LPT port is
selected in the Radio 1/2 signal, the pin 14 line is active when the
second radio is selected. Does that mean I can use pin 14 to key the
second interface (rig) and eliminate the manual switch? I think so, but
I want to be sure.

Thanks and 73,

Joe
