Control the preferences panel:

address 00
baudrate 4800
poll rate 5000
maxtries 6
dtr high checked
rts high unchecked

it works fine for me

Double clicking on an obvious CW spot takes the radio to the proper frequency 
but changes the mode from UCW to LCW.

When clicking on a RTTY spot, the mode goes to USB

In both cases, the QSO window mode is correct.

Any help appreciated
