Hello to all, I am a relatively new user to DX4WIN and just recently have tried uploading to LoTW and seem to be having the same kinds of problems with Ignore. I chose Ignore in the preferences file so that I would have complete control over the QSLing process. Now when I try to create an ADIF file for upload to LoTW those QSO's that have Ignore are excluded. Further when I manually set the Upload flag on for those Q's with Ignore and then try to create the ADIF file no QSO's, including those that had the Upload flag turned on previously and not set manually, are created in the resulting ADIF file. The file size is only 40 bytes in this case and does not contain any QSO's as far as I can determine.
My personal preference is to continue with Ignore in the preferences file to allow me full control over the QSLing process but I do not feel Ignore should have an impact on creation of a LoTW file. It would be a rare instance, I think, where a user did not want to upload all of the Q's to LoTW. If some are to be excluded I would prefer to turn the Upload flag off manually. BTW, I'm on 6.03. And although I haven't tried it there does seem to be a way to perform a global change to selected QSO's to set the QSL Method field; QSO>Multiple QSO operations>Set QSL method. Are Buddy and I the only ones that are not entirely happy with the impact of Ignore on LoTW? I read that having the QSL flag set to "Ignore" can cause problems. How can I change the flag to something else without doing them all manually? Any suggestions on what the flag should default to, in the future? 73, Buddy/K4CJB From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jan 4 10:28:23 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Tue Jan 4 10:31:18 2005 Subject: [Dx4win] QSL Flag In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --- JerryVan N8BM <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Are Buddy and I the only ones that are not entirely happy with the impact of > Ignore on LoTW? Jerry, take heart! The Ignore problem will be fixed in 6.04. Paul claims it is already fixed, but I (we) have not received the beta test version with the fix (yet). 73 - Jim AD1C ===== Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.com From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Jan 4 12:08:02 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Tue Jan 4 12:10:56 2005 Subject: [Dx4win] Last call for changes to the DX4WIN.CTY country file Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I'm working on updates to the DX4WIN.CTY country file.
