My apologies to all, but my over-zealous spell-check program "renamed" the
manufacturers of two parallel cards that I have successfully tested with the
new software <arghhh>. Here are the correct titles and a little more detail
about each:

> 1. Dell motherboard LPT port as LPT1 at 0378 - Actually, any computer's
> LPT1 port should work in native mode - so you already have one LPT port
> under Windows 2K/ XP without any special configuration.

> 2. A LAVA parallel card - These cards are slightly more expensive than
> others, but are true Plug&Play and do not require the installation of
> custom drivers.

> 3. A NetMos parallel card - This brand is sold by several retailers on
> the Internet for about $11, and come with custom drivers on a CD that you
> will insert into your computer upon installation.

> 4. A ByteRunner serial/parallel card - > These cards have been very
> popular with DX4WIN clients who use them for additional serial ports, and
> come with custom drivers on a diskette. Unfortunately, the driver
> software does not display the virtual memory address under My Computer ->
> Properties ->Hardware ->Device Manager ->Ports. You will need a small
> utility program called VSSHOW.COM (downloadable from several sites on the
> web or from ByteRunner/VSCOM support). This utility, which must be run
> from a DOS boot disk (NOT from a Windows, Run, "CMD" DOS prompt), searches
> for their card and gives you the LPT address in hex.

Sorry for the error,
