The IC-7800 CT-17 code is 6Ah. I would try that using
a
756PRO series with that code and see what happens...

I just got a message when I tried to log on using my DX4WIN
version 6.03.
The following message came up and keeps coming up
each time I try to open my logs.

DX4WIN V6
Access.Violation of Address 005B3E2A in module 'DX4WIN.EXE'
Read of Address FFFFFFFF

When I click OK
it shows this message
A fatal error occurred i reading the logfile.

When I click OK
on that one I get the following message
Unknown Version of Logfile.

How do I get this reset?

I am lost and can't find this in the help files.

Thanks

Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Thanks to wonderful Tech Support. As usual, Steve
came through and found my problem.
Short phone call and he analyzed what had happened
and he had seen this corrupted Config file occurrence
and he talked me through getting the problem solved
and I am up and running again.

Now, the important part about this is that I regularly,
and I repeat, REGULARLY create and keep a backup
file with all my data on it. I refresh it as often as I can
and this seemed to have helped me get back all the
info and all I needed to do was re-add some of the QSL
info and cards received since the last backup and I was
back up to speed.

Again, a BIG THANKS for the help and guys, the tech
support is there. With other programs I have used this
would have been a nightmare, and might have taken
some time to even figure out.

Thanks STEVE for the help.

Jim,
There is an edit you need to make in the rig file to change it
from Pactor to FSK. I don't have the information with me here at work
but I have it at home. I'll try to remember to send it to you this
evening. (You can also change the CW mode chosen when pouncing on a spot
from LCW to UCW.)

I have a laptop connected to a Ten-Tec Omni Vi Plus through a serial cable.
Can I also key my radio through the same serial port. I noted in the Ten-Tec
manual that radio control is done through serial port pins 2 and 3 plus the
ground on pin 7. The serial port CW keying interface using a resistor and a
2N2222 only connects to pin 20 (DTR) and pin 7, the ground. Has anybody tried
this?

All,

Attached is a rig file for the Icom 7800. Put it in the "radios" folder and
it will show up in the pull down for available rigs. It runs at the default
address of 6A and at 9600 bps.
