Hi Tony.

Have you tried 
 Files > Databases > Radios
The General tab has fields for low and hi freq limits for the radio.

You can start with the 775 rig, make your changes, and save it with a
different appropriate name, leaving the 775 as-is.

Alternatively, I think you could copy the .rig file and edit the FLOW
and
FHIGH entries with a text editor.
