In Dx4win you can search in a combined way. That is you can press f8 and 
search for a specific qsl date, method direct and cnfm y to see how much 
qsos confirmed when you sent a qsl direct at a specific date.
But...
As Jim and others said, if you search for qsls that have sent in older dates 
you will get results with newer dates also. You always can go to logbook 
window and do this
under report editor add the qsl date in logbook window. After that right 
click, choose "write to a file" and you will get a .csv file. import it to 
excel and sort with the column you want.
