Jim,

I've used an IO Gear USB to serial adaptor for rig control with a Yaesu Mark
V with good results in SSB contests. No CW, FSK but only rig interfacing.
Don't know about the K3 specifically. If you plan to use it for CW and/or
Rtty then I use a Microham Microkeyer for that.

Subject: [Dx4win] K3 via USB?

My father just got a K3 that he'd like to hook up as a second radio.
Unfortunately, his PC has no serial ports, just USB. I have never played
with a K3 myself. What's the most straightforward way to get frequency
control going?

Thanks - Jim
