Hi Fred,

Well I am no certainly expert in all of this. Using XP here. Currently
this is not a problem for me as I don't use PSK much. I do use MMTTY and I
had noted that it now provides separate I/O sound devices, fortunately for
RTTY I use FSK so I already have the ability to assign separate I/O's
because the output is not to a sound device and is already supported. I use
a MicroKeyer II here and I note that router software for that now provides
separate I/O's for the soundcard in it. So they must have done their
homework on this in line with new OS requirements. Probably why I am seeing
this in XP.

Since we have now raised this issue, lets leave it to the experts to work it
through and implement a solution.

Ok John. Thanks for the input

The buit-in soundcard has many input and outputs. The external USB one has
also some in and outs. Vista threats them as several INs and OUTs.
Unfortunately DX4WIN is not treating them individually.
I did not know it happens to Windows XP too. My previous computer was a
Windows 2003 and my notebook is a XP, but both with a single and simple
soundcards.

It deos not to seem good. I may need to use another program for PSK or
another logging program that has all sorted out.

Regards Fred
