Tony, DX4WIN always opens on whatever band and mode my K3 is set on when the software loads. Actually it opens to the last contact and then I just hit F9 to clear and the software then reads the radio and lists the correct band and mode. I am using the Elecraft K3 X4 radio file. That one works better than the Elecraft K3 radio file.
