Hi Raymond and other IC-7800 users, This is not the good rigfile you use, this was one of the First beta´s with some faults in it
You should select ICOM IC7800_F230_250Hz.rig or ._500Hz.rig The polling you see is a normal behavior in this release because ICOM has still NOT a dedicated cmd For reading the sub VFO. The only way around is to readout the Main VFO, then switch to Sub VFO, readout this one, check SPLIT is ON/OFF And switch it back to Main VFO for RX. Polling rate should be set between 2000 and 2500 then it is not so irritating. BTW you can select for radio 1 the old rigfile and if needed for split operation you select the new rigdriver in radio 2 Same settings etc, switching goes via shift+ctrl+F12 This polling doesn´t arm your rig I tested out here 24 hours without break and still using the rig hi. Guy ON4AOI PS some are testing a rigfile for the IC-7700 (new firmware came out after the release of this one) When I get green light I send them to Jim so he can put them on his webpage Van: Raymond Phillips [mailto:raymond.phill...@btinternet.com] Verzonden: dinsdag 1 februari 2011 10:21 Aan: on4...@skynet.be Onderwerp: dx4win and ICOM IC 7800 Hi I have recently just downloaded dx4win to try a new logging program not registered yet I have downloaded the latest version and with the ICOM 7800 with the latest firmware 2.30 I seem to have a problem with the latest rig interface. When I select in dx4win ICOM 7800_V805a=F230 for the radio you get a constant pulse that keeps lighting up the display on the second receiver e.g when the second receiver is not selected it will light up the display frequency on the second receiver for a split second but keeps doing this the radio does not need to be on split . I have went backto previous radio file for 7800.
