I wrote to the list a couple of weeks ago due to a problem I was having
because my computer was rebooting with Windows updates and corrupting the
DX4WIN program as it did an automated forced reboot. Several people,
including Jim Risert got me almost completely fixed. However there is on
remaining problem and it is what is most important about DX4WIN for me.. The
spots are not being checked against my log book to determine if I need the
country or it is logged and of little interest.. In other words, it is not
color coding the spots. I think related to this is a second problem that
shows when I try to open the country window which should show the matrix of
bands and countries worked, confirmed etc. That window fails to open and
gives an error message that says: A exception occurred: Fixed column count
must be less than column count."
I have tried downloading a completely new version of the software and I have
tried erasing virtually all of the saved files except my log and license and
that does not cure the problem. I have also tried loading a backed up
version of my log and that does not help, and I have tried starting a new
log and that does not help either. This tells me that the log file is not
corrupted, but that it is some parameter in the program itself that is
corrupted, but not cured by a new download.
Do any of you have any ideas on how to get this problem resolved?
