Weeks ago I described my trouble with DX4Win freezing up or pausing when using my new FT-950. With a lot of research I found out it was a problem with the FT950.RIG file.
I found that the ft950.rig file had some errors that told the computer to pause and wait. Specifically, the "CDELAY=260" value should have had been "CDELAY=0" on the [RC-Read xxxx ] heading items, like [RC-Read Mode], [RC-Read S Meter], [RC-Read Status], etc..... Other Yaesu .rig files had "CDELAY=0" for the READ functions while the supplied FT-950 file had a value of CDELAY=260. Once I changed these values to zero, the delay & hang ups stopped. I checked the rig control functions as much as I could and did not find any problems caused by this change. Now after I made the changes, there isn't any delay hang up or pause in the CW keying or program operation. If anyone has a FT-950 and wants a copy of my file, please let me know and I will email it to you direct.
