You have to understand that DX4Win is designed primarily as an award 
chasing and tracking program. What you are complaining about is one of 
it's best features... for award tracking you generally only care about 
current information. One edit and it's all up to date! For those 
exceptional situations where you need info linked to a QSO instead of 
the callsign, you have the free-form  "Notes for this QSO". If what you 
want is a historical archive of all your contacts, then you should 
transfer your DX4Win QSO's to something better suited. A program like 
DXKeeper would be the ticket, and it's free.
