I forgot to look at that site. Thanks for calling it to my attention.  I
have the post office receipt and a note when I sent the cards and the LoTW
application.  Both  were sent on
17 January 2012.   I guess it will remain a mystery :-)

  According to the "DXCC Applications Received" page, your application was
received at the DXCC desk on March 5th, so it's only been 4 weeks since they
received it.

  I can't explain why the long delay through the mail, but that's when it
was logged in at HQ.
