Mike,

Windows 7 ignores the traditional LPT port address assignments, which is likely the source of your problem. You need to use Device Manager to learn the address that Win7 assigned to your card, and then create a PORTMAP.INI file in your /SAVE directory to tell DX4Win where to find it.

My file lists 2 LPT cards:
"
[LPTMAP]
LPT1=$E800
LPT2:
LPT3=$EC00
"

A "gotcha" that I am experiencing:

The CW keying will not work. I still haven't been able remedy this. I am
told it has to do with developing virtual com-ports. I always used lpt
ports.

I'm about to migrate DX4Win 8.05 from my XP machine to a new Win7 Pro
machine.

Are there any 'gotchas' I need to be aware of, or other trips to pass along?

Thanks & 73,

Eric W3DQ
