Very helpful, Jim, in improving my understanding of DX4WIN, which is a powerful application with many useful capabilities. I see the error of my ways in not completing the requisite fields in DX4WIN to get accurate data! I do like having a mental picture of the electronic geometry even though I have no beam to rotate.

I'll say it again: "Remember, DX4WIN starts with the target coordinates of the DXCC entity. Some entities are very large. The "center" of the USA is somewhere in south-central Virginia I think [I was wrong, it's in MO]. DX4WIN will use the STATE, GRID and/or IOTA fields to give more exact bearing/distance."
