Well you cannot fix stupid, but I use VE7CC's client and filter the best I can before spots come to DX4WIN, also I only want the 6M and 160M ones which tends to limit the crap somewhat. But, you make a good point there will be false alarms and if it gets to be too much turn it off. I have this feature in my JT65-HF software and it works well with few false alarms.
