Hi Folks, Three people (so far) have reported problems to me when running the DX4WIN Data Updater. The usual symptom is that the updater seems to install fine, but when trying to run it, nothing happens. I have been unable to duplicate this problem on three computers that I use regularly.
Based on the info one person sent me, an error can occur when checking to see if DX4WIN is already running, at least on a Windows Vista system. This happens if a certain DLL is missing. I do not know if the same problem is affecting everyone, as at least one person is running Windows 7. I have created a test version of the updater and am waiting for some feedback to see if the problem is fixed. This may not be the only problem, however.
