MMTTY can also make use of an external sound card such as Signalink USB or any other sound card installed in your Windows software. Open the MMTTY window in DX4WIN, select Option tab in MMTTY, then Soundcard tab and select the sound card that you would like to use. As someone suggested earlier, if you have an external soundcard for RTTY, it is good practice to ensure that your computer soundcard is selected as the default in Windows--while the appropriate external soundcard for RTTY is selected in MMTTY as the one it will use. This ensures that computer generated sounds and beeps do not get sent to your radio.

Bernie, off the top of my head, the RTTY window was to operate RTTY with external hardware devices that had a COM port interface, like a HAL or TNC. The MMTTY window interfaces to the MMTTY software which makes use of your computer's sound card. -- Jim Reisert AD1C, <jjreis...@alum.mit.edu>, http://www.ad1c.us ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ DX4WIN mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:DX4WIN@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
