Eric,

Most likely a virus checker is doing something to your license file.

Assuming you have a backup copy of your license file, replace the
one in your DX4WIN directory, but if a virus checker is playing games
that may not help you. You will have to tell the virus checker that the
DX4WIN directory can be trusted.
