I asked about this several months back and likewise, never saw any response. My current "fix" is to hand patch the LOTW generated adif files with the correct satellite name manually before uploading to LOTW. Specifically, I asked about providing updates to the satellite "list" contained within dx4win OR making it user modifiable to accommodate the constantly changing list of amateur satellites.

I inquired a few days back and heard nothing so I thought Id repost to group as Im still seeking answer to this issue.

When adding SAT qsos into dx4w it appears that a VALID SAT name is required for LOTW to accept the import

See below the error I receive:

Error: PROP_MODE = 'SAT' but no SAT_NAME on line 1012
QSO_DATE: 20180729
TIME_ON: 141200
CALL: W5RRR
MODE: FM
PROP_MODE: SAT
BAND: 70cm
BAND_RX: 2m
LOTW_QSLSDATE:

Error: PROP_MODE = 'SAT' but no SAT_NAME on line 1016
QSO_DATE: 20180729
TIME_ON: 141600
CALL: KB6LTY
MODE: FM
PROP_MODE: SAT
BAND: 70cm
BAND_RX: 2m
LOTW_QSLSDATE:

IF "OTHER" is chosen it too is rejected as a non-valid SAT name. And error occurs.

Is there a work around for this as the SAT NAMES list is far from complete or current.

Seeking ideas or suggestions on how to work around.

Thank! Kirk, N0KK
