Jim,

I always have the F3 window open, and I have never heard the Windows bell as
you describe.  My QSO entry is completely silent.  I wonder if you
inadvertently turned on a Windows system sound setting.  I am running 9.0.9
and Windows 10 latest updates.

I usually have the headphones on when I'm adding QSOs.  What I think may
have happened is that I recently raised the Windows volume to listen to a
baseball game, and that made it just loud enough to hear the bells while
wearing headphones.

I don't know why DX4WIN would do this when adding a new QSO with the
F3 window showing, but I guess it's been there all along.
