Radio 10 Gold wins Marconi Award for best Dutch radio stationIt was announced today at the annual Broadcasting Congress in Bussum that Radio 10 Gold has won the Marconi Award for the best radio station in the Netherlands 2004-2005. The Marconi Awards are the most prestigious radio awards in the country. The jury observed that despite being a mediumwave station (1008 kHz), Radio 10 Gold has succeeded in reaching a large audience. The jury found it a great achievement that a commercial music station keeps mediumwave listening alive. Despite sailing against the wind last year, the programme makers continued to produce friendly radio with noticeable pleasure. They were able to fall back on their creativity, and a musical style which belongs to the best in the Netherlands.
