Lorenzo in Italy received a good set of images 22 April, 1600-1630 UTC, 17580 kHz, despite poor propagation to just about every other place on earth.
Hello friends, Please note that The Mighty KBC will adjust its broadcast time this weekend.See the details below. During the past weekend, the VOA Radiogram broadcast Saturday at 1600-1630 UTC on 17580 kHz, usually received well in most of Europe, was inaudible in most of Europe and most of the rest of the world. The only good reception was in parts of Italy, and that deteriorated during the half four. The apparent cause was a coronal mass ejection (CME) that was not supposed to affect Earth, but it affected Earth. This weekend's VOA Radiogram is mostly in MFSK32, with one story in MFSK16. The program will end with ASCII art. Use a monospace font such as Courier, and maximize Fldigi, because this will be wide. You can also paste the ASCII art to a text editor or word processor with a monospace font. If you use TIVAR, I don't think the app has a facility to change the font. It might be possible to change the font in the Android operating system. Here is the lineup for VOA Radiogram, program 213, 29-30 April 2017, all in MFSK32 except where noted: 1:54 Program preview 3:09 First African-born player in US Major League Baseball* 7:47 Media freedom 'has never been so threatened'* 15:13 MFSK16: Cassini spacecraft between Saturn and its rings 19:58 MFSK32: Images* and closing announcements 25:05 ASCII art (use monospace font and maximize Fldigi)* * with image Please send reception reports to radiog...@voanews.com<mailto:radiog...@voanews.com> VOA Radiogram Transmission Schedule Day UTC Time kHz Transmitter Target Also try in … Saturday 0930-1000 5745 North Carolina Americas Asia-Pacific, Europe Saturday 1600-1630 17580 North Carolina Europe Americas, Asia-Pacific Sunday 0230-0300 5745 North Carolina Americas Europe Sunday 1930-2000 15670 North Carolina Europe Americas, Asia-Pacific Sunday 2030-2100 11580 WRMI Florida Europe Americas, Asia-Pacific Sunday 2330-2400 11580 WRMI Florida Americas Europe, Asia-Pacific The Mighty KBC this weekend will transmit to North America one hour earlier than usual, thus Saturday 29 April at 2300 UTC to Sunday 30 April at 0100 UTC, on 6145 kHz via Germany, with a minute of MFSK32 at about 0030 UTC.
