Yksi etel�n eduista on, ett� signaalin reitti ei mene niin paljon auroravy�hykkeen l�pi. Esim. t��lt�k�sin alataajuuksilla (3.5/7 MHz) keskieurooppalaiset ovat paljon tavallisempia kuin suomalaiset/muut skandinaavit. Japanilaiset ovat jopa hyvin tavallisia joka�isi� tuttavuuksia, koska reitti on sen verran etel�ss� vaikka matka on kutakuinkin sama kuin Eurooppaan.
