Bill,

The correct way to exclude labels is to use the grouping functionality.
Assign a unique group number to the labels that you want printed in the
session you are running. The decision about which records to update for QSL
sent date is based on the pending labels that you selected by group number.
When you bring up the label printing module, it asks you what group number
you want included. The pages you choose to actually print is not a factor
in which records were selected. Thus, when you answer Yes to the date
update, all records in the group you chose will be acted on.

Regards,
Sandy

Subject: DXBase 2002 batch label printing bug

printing routine.

sheets. To keep the label sheets from jamming in my HP printer, I print one
page at a time.

> If my first 5960 sheet (10 rows by 3 columns) for a print run starts
somewhere beyond the first label, say in the 10th position (row 4 col 1),
the first 21 labels in my print run are printed OK. When I print the second
page, using the print range page 2 to page 2, DXBase 2002 starts with label
number 31 in the QSO label database and prints 30 labels on the sheet.
Labels 22 to 30 are NEVER PRINTED, however DXBase updates the QSO records to
show QSL S and SENT DATE for these not-printed labels. DXbase should have
started page 2 with label 22 and so on.

thousand direct and buro cards in dozens of batches. DXBase has probably
marked as sent several hundred QSLs which are in fact not sent. What a
mess.
