The help file says: "DXbase provides many different exports for storing reports for use in other software. These include formats such as Word, Excel, Text, and so forth.
Create your report as normal and while viewing the report on your screen, click the Export ICON that is the one that looks like an envelope. Choose from the available export choices and follow the prompts." After reading this, I created a "User Designed List" and (mistakenly) thought I could export it to Excel. When I click on the "envelope" icon, up pops the Microsoft 'Inbox Setup Wizard'. (Actually initially up popped a Mapisp32 error, and a lockup of DXbase, but I went through Microsoft's fix to overcome that..a long story) The built-in "standard reports" have the export to Excel option, but it appears that "lists" and "reports" are two quite different things when it comes to exporting. This despite, "For your convenience, several sample user designed list reports have been provided....", which indicates to my simple brain that 'user designed lists' _are_ 'reports'. However, I also read in REPORTS.DOC, "To help avoid confusion, we refer to this activity as "lists rather than reports since DXbase also provides dozens of predefined reports." But then the authors continue to refer to 'lists' as 'reports', thus contributing to the confusion. Is there a way to export a user designed list to Excel, Word, etc? Wes N7WS
