Valentin, In DXbase 2001 and 2002, we added some capabilities that were intended to handle this kind of thing to some degree.
1. We added the Special-1 and Special-2 fields. These two fields can accept up to ten alpha/num characters of your choosing. So you could identify each award separately with an entry of your choosing in the Special1 and 2 fields. We also added two user checkbox fields User1 and User2 in the Award, Category, and Select fields of the QSO log. These two fields are simple yes/no checkbox entries. 2. We added these fields as filters in the DXbase Wizard. So, you could extract a portion of your log using the Wizard and whatever filters you want to set. 3. We added an Award module for the Special fields and allow the record selection to be based on your entire QSO log or based on the extracted data from the DXbase Wizard. I don't know if these "tools" handle everything, but I believe they allow for most situations. Maybe this helps, Sandy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Valentin Yonte Rodríguez" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, February 28, 2002 9:44 AM Subject: [DXBase] DXbase Awards Jack, Did you think to add in the future version of the program the posibility to add customized awards? For example, In USA you have the WAS award, here, in Spain we have a similar award, the DME (all the spanish communities), the TPE (all spanish provinces). Each ham, each Country o each amateur radio assiciation have his own award and I think that is a good feature for the future versions of DXBase. How ??? The answer we ccould find here, with the opinion of the dxbase users.
