Greg, Not sure what setting you have that could be causing this. Maybe you have the CW features turned on and they are using same serial port as the radio or PSK? Maybe you need to change the DTR setting for the HF radio user option. Maybe you have some Windows option set that turns on leads for the serial port you are using. Maybe you have some other software running when you start Windows that activates the port, such as a palm pilot interface, etc..
